Gaël Horellou Sextet is in the tradition of the great sextets of the sixties, like Cannonball Adderley Sextet or Jazz Messengers d'Art Blakey (Wayne Shorter period).

The dominant style is a hard bop with warm grooves, tinged with blues (Dreaming the Blues), coltranian meditations (Berchida's Song) and free jazz (Le Fœtus...). This transgenerational group brings together confirmed musicians (Soirat, Horellou, Sauzay, Joussein) and reveals two young talents (Deconfin, Portal).
